Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Pride and Prejudice deals with the relationship between a rich, proud man and a young, prejudiced woman in the 19th century. The man, Mr. Darcy, first comes off as a very cold and arrogant man, but as he develops feelings for Elisabeth Bennet, a 20-year-old neighbour to his friend, Mr. Bingley, the reader develops warmer feelings toward him. Elisabeth has four sisters, one older sister named Jane and three younger sisters; Mary, Kitty and Lydia. The book also deals with the life of the Bennet family, its relatives and friends. I will not go into much detail about the plot as I don't want to spoil anything.
At times, I found all the names and the plot a bit confusing, and the aged language didn't really help. Though a bit dull at times (very few times may I add), I found the book interesting and I found it really difficult to stop reading. The developing relationship between miss Bennet and Mr. Darcy is fascinating and the same goes for the other relationships in the novel. This will probably go on my list of favourite books and I truly recommend it!
Next book: Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens

P.S. Favourite song right at this moment: "Strangers Like Me" by Phil Collins

P.S.2. Picturing Mathew Macfadyen as Mr. Darcy was very helpful in liking the character, he is so hot as Darcy in the Hollywood-version of this book
